As yet another forest fire struck, October 2017 is definitely proving to be a sad period for the state of California with around half of the most devastating fires in their whole history happening in this single month!!
Officials are still estimating damages and losses but, by 10th October, the media reported that the wildfire had already destroyed over 200,000 acres.
Overnight, InnoVista Sensors™ employees at Concord mobilized to collect clothes, food and pet food to support a local community emergency center. Melissa Debita, the employee who initiated the project, drove her car full of her colleagues’ donations to nearby Petaluma.
In the end we collected so much, the community center asked us to deliver it all to the nearby Salvation Army as they have a bigger distribution infrastructure. The volunteers thanked us tremendously and were amazed how much we had been able to collect in such a short space of time.We join with Melissa to thank and congratulate all the employees for their reactivity and generosity.
