For the third consecutive year, the employees from InnoVista Sensors™ based in Concord, CA, USA, hosted a food drive and collected 100 kilograms of food. On Friday, December 18th, employees volunteered two hours of their time on their day off at the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano warehouse to help sort donated food. In the past, they sorted fruits but, this year, it was packaged and canned foods, which was “easier on the back but harder for the brain”. The voluntary work involved filling boxes that will be distributed to shelters in the area to families and people in need. InnoVista Sensors™ also matched $1 USD per pound of food collected. A check for $220 USD was then presented to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.
“Volunteering is always a fun and rewarding experience” InnoVista Sensors™ employees said. They are already looking forward to another volunteer opportunity in the spring of 2016.And we, at InnoVista Sensors™, wish to thank all of the participants for their involvement in this CSR action and hope it didn’t create too much back and headaches!
