The last pot of InnoVista Sensors Honey 2016 has gone within less than one month! This bee hives project was one of a series of actions rolled out during the very popular Environment Days Event with the intention of contributing to helping bees and bio-diversity while informing employees on the environment. The sale of the honey to employees at the Valence location allowed us to raise 1040 Euros for the local branch of the local charity, Restos du Coeur, that helps provide meals for homeless people.
“The project proved to be both informative and fun. This a very positive result that encourages us to go even farther”, Dean Whittaker, CSR leader, rejoiced.Without losing time, InnoVista Sensors has already started plans to go a step further by introducing the bee hives into its factory grounds and increase production in 2017. A big thank to our local partner in that project, Apiculture Urbaine, and to all InnoVista employees who demonstrated their support to help the environment. Last but not least, a detail that can prove useful to help save bees: if you notice a swarm in a tree or in an easy-to-access place, Apiculture Urbaine can come and collect it for free. They will try to allocate them a beehive as a new home. Think about it! Links:
